È una questione di obiettivi …restituire un manufatto come ad una pajara profondamente legato alla nostra cultura contadina e poter respirare la stessa atmosfera di chi prima di noi con il sudore del duro lavoro della campagna ha contribuito a regalarci “il Salento” è una gioia che solo chi possiede grande amor proprio e uno spiccato spirito di appartenenza può provare. L’intervento, completamente realizzato adoperando tecniche e materiali tradizionali, ha consentito di dare una funzione abitativa ad un piccolo complesso rurale composto da una Pajara, un forno (furnieddhu) e due “Lamie” in cui si sono realizzate le camere da letto, la cucina e i servizi igienici; il tutto con una suggestiva vista mare, immerso nella campagna di Salve (Le) a pochi chilometri da Santa Maria di Leuca. 

This typical, rural building is tied to our local farming culture and tradition. The objective was to restore it with the same care and attention of the people who built it, as the profound sense of belonging and love for our land is what we share with the past. The project has been realized with the use of traditional materials and techniques, thus allowing for a residential function of this small, rural complex composed by a pajara, a typical, old oven and two “Lamie” which are now a bedroom, a kitchen and bathrooms. This enchaniting place is sorrounded by a suggestive country panorama overlooking the sea. It is located in Salve, a few kilometres from Santa Maria di Leuca.
